Leffe Prestige is a generous beer with an 8.5% ABV. It is faithful to the tradition of Belgian beers, with intense floral, fruity and spicy notes but well balanced by a complex malty base. This beer's specialty is to showcase a range of complex malts with a combination of barley, wheat and oats, followed by a blend of secret spices and a unique yeast that develops and harmonizes the flavors Leffe characteristics: vanilla, clove/smoke with hints of banana.
Appearance: Leffe Prestige has a golden to amber color and a persistent off-white foam.
Nose: Leffe Prestige is very powerful with intense notes of vanilla, clove, star anise and banana.
The mixture of malts gives the beer notes of straw, flour, white bread and caramel. We can also smell floral notes of acacia honey, touches of chamomile tea, fruity notes of red apple, pear, quince, citrus and banana, followed by an intense bouquet of spices. with cloves, vanilla, star anise, coriander, and touches of white pepper,
Taste: The beer is very meaty and starts with a rich sweetness and moderate carbonation. As you let the beer circulate around your mouth, you will notice its consistency with lots of creaminess followed by spicy and fruity notes of banana, vanilla, star anise and coriander. The beer is full-bodied and well balanced between spices and malty flavors, with very little bitterness. The finish is ample and creamy with notes of caramel, spices and a sensation of heat.
