Löwenbräu Oktoberfestbier is a traditional German beer brewed by Löwenbräu, a Munich-based brewery with a history dating back to 1383. This beer is specifically crafted for the famous Oktoberfest celebration, featuring a rich amber color and a malty flavor profile. Brewed in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot (Beer Purity Law), it typically has a moderate alcohol content, offering a smooth and well-balanced taste. Löwenbräu, known for its commitment to quality, has established itself as a key participant in the Oktoberfest tradition, contributing to the festive atmosphere with its authentic Bavarian brew. The Oktoberfestbier variant is eagerly anticipated by beer enthusiasts each year as part of the seasonal celebration.

This Lager takes its inspiration from the German style of lager, Helles. Helles was first produced in Munich in the late 1800s as an alternative to the typical ‘dunkelbier’ (‘dark coloured beer’) produced in the area (‘Helles’ means ‘light-coloured’ in German).
These, like the first Helles beer that was brewed back in 1894, has a sweet, malty flavour balanced with a light aromatic hoppiness that makes it very refreshing.
The brewer uses Naked Golden Oats to make his Lager. Naked Golden Oats are grown without husks so that even more sweetness and flavour can be extracted from the grains during brewing.
